General surgery involves comprehensive surgery on patients ranging from the head to the toes; however it commonly includes the realm of thyroid, breast, trauma and intra-abdominal surgery. General surgery is the broad base of surgery in which all surgeons have received at least 5 years of surgical training. All of our doctors at FVSA are board certified in general surgery along with additional training in a surgical sub-specialty.
